Gerber, an American company, is always staying on the leading edge of pocket knife design. The new knife owners want the high-tech look. The tactical tool. The cool-looking cutter.

Here are 3 of the new engraved Gerber knives that won’t disappoint today’s knife fans.

  1. Instant Knife 752. Assisted-opening mechanism in a pocket knife is a quick and safe way to single-handedly open your knife. If you are hanging in a tree on your parachute, and one hand is holding on for life, your other hand can open and operate this knife.

  2. Paralite Champagne 1345. This one has a see-through handle that shows off the colorful liner lock. This design reduces the weight of it, so you don’t mind carrying it every day.

  3. STL 2.0 41122. Black on black is very popular now. It has that mysterious look, and a very light weight. The blade is thin but strong, to keep the weight of this new knife under control.

I found the best rescue pocket knives on display in Cleveland Ohio last week. Gordon Blake, of Big River Marketing is showing us the Heavy Duty Rescue Knife (with yellow bolster). In his other hand is the “Ball Bearing Assisted Opening Professional Grade Rescue Knife”. It opens with a breeze, using only one hand. Both knives are made by Utica Cutlery Company (the Kutmaster line).
